Innovations in Farmers' Markets

So it is that time of year again when the local farmers share their bounty of fresh foods directly with community members. Farmers' markets are beneficial for the health of humans and the earth. Recently, I saw a couple of videos on CNN discussing new ways of making healthy foods accessible to all.

Wow, I LOVE this consumer activism that is the opposite of boycotting. I have been thinking that that's where activism needs to go for like 20 years now and this is awesome!
Also, we have some of those farmers markets with matched foodstamps right here in Boston! It's called "Bounty Bucks" and The Food Project has a list of sites: http://thefoodproject.org/boston-bounty-bucks
